DIVERSIONS

SATURDAY 11/11

COMPOSTING--This is your very last chance for a free class to learn how to safely compost yard material without stinking up the neighborhood or making your dog sick. After the workshop, and only if you are a resident of Seattle, you can purchase a yard waste compost unit for $20. Call Seattle Composting Hotline at 633-0224.

VETERANS DAY--Flight-obsessed vets and their families can celebrate their day with a fly-in by the Cascade Warbird (10 am, weather permitting), exhibits on the downing of the U-2 (including a presentation by Francis Gary Powers Jr., son of the late U-2 pilot), and patriotic tunes played by the Boeing Employees' Concert Band. Museum of Flight, 9404 E Marginal Way S, 10 am-5 pm, 768-7105, free.
