Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, bringing a family reunion in which 50 Filipinos gather for three straight days of eating, screaming, grazing, and napping. For those who are not as fortunate, or for those to whom this sounds like a nightmare, please feast upon these two absolutely sublime Thanksgiving offerings from two local restaurants.

On Thursday, November 23, at Earth & Ocean (1112 Fourth Ave, 264-6060), guests can choose from new executive chef Adam Stevenson's offerings—including braised ox tongue with horseradish crème fraîche, grilled venison chop with garlic-sausage cassoulet, and molten espresso-chocolate cake with hazelnut cream—to create a three-course meal. Meals will be served from 3—8 pm, with prices ranging from $58—$72 depending on the chosen entrée.

On Sunday, November 26, at Tilth (1411 N 45th St, 633-0801), chef Maria Hines will present a prix-fixe, four-course tasting menu, made entirely of organic ingredients sourced from within 100 miles of the restaurant. Guests can customize their menus with such feast options as white bean and ham hock soup with dry-cured pork shavings, Thundering Hooves American Bronze turkey with apple-bacon stuffing, and spiced pecan pie with Woodford Reserve Bourbon ice cream. Service will run from 5—10 pm, and the price is $60 for four courses, with wine pairing available for an additional $20 per person.
