Joe asked: How important is it to you to facilitate our having modern mass transit infrastructure, comparable to other major metropolises that have systems in place to move their suburban and exurban workers into and out of their urban jobs and shopping? I would cite New York as a domestic model, but they are the extreme example. Boston or San Francisco are better comparisons--Boston has *extensive* train lines to move people en masse from even the most distant suburbs quickly into the city, and San Fran has a mix of trains and busing to do the same. What will you do to get us to the level of a Boston or San Francisco?
