The Fightin' Cock will set your taste buds on fire with Tex-Mex, Thai, barbecue, and other roasted chicken preparations, in both sandwich and entree form (with vegetarian options also available). Order-at-the-counter service is quick. Eat at the Cock!
This place is so worth checking out. If I lived in the neighborhood, I'd probably be in there at least once a week and maybe more often. Tasty Chicken, Pork, Tofu, Shrimp, etc. Reasonable prices. Mexican Coca Cola. You get the idea.

Its really in Interbay, not Ballard. The salsa is Killer, the meat is not- it is hormone free. I want to keep enjoying this place. So do you. So, in the wake of the Perfect Storm of Bush 2, lets keep this gem going. Or I'll have to kill you. All.
Great food, and nicely located for all the folks doing the elliott bay trail from the ballard area! $5 gets a filling sandwich. Can't wait to try more.

And they have retarded low prices to boot. I am a local, native- I got a letter from Nicklesville Inc last summer asking if it was ok to use this space as a restaurant. Hello? the Gyros place here for the couple years previous was also a food establishment, wasn't it? I guess Seattle does not care until it needs money.
This place RULES. If you like real spice, ask them first, as they are really cautious about feeding us pales hot food. Well, now I get my sandwiches with custom made pepper oil. Plus, they now have a pulled pork BBQ that is to die for. Bethany, Run, don't walk, over here and see if Interbay has finally died and gone to tasty heaven. I am so glad that even in this perfect storm economy that we have risk taking artists who want to make their roost.
They also have Ginger Soda and Mexican Coca Cola. This kind of Karma is rare in this town; rarer even in this Part of town. I only wish we had a music club nearby; Oh well. Take what we can get.
Happened upon this spot today. It was fate I'm sure. I was starving and the Rojo Mojo hit the spot.
Great people, Great space, Great food that you won't find anywhere else...and it's cheap enough to make it a habit.
Go find them. Go now.

Try their Mojo sauce, it's simply amazing! This place serves it over rice or on a sandwich, and both can't be beat. I would liken it to crack, but then I couldn't encourage children to partake. Give this place a try, the owner mentioned that the chicken is marinated overnight and fresh roasted everyday, and sandwich rolls are bakery fresh every morning. both are crispy and delicious. I will be back for many more!

I live in the neighborhood and watched the owner build this all summer. The inside is cozy and seems geared towards take out. Thoughtful details and finishes everywhere, esp. the ceiling - wow! Food is affordable, filling and doesn't leave me with that 'heavy' feeling. My stomach and I both heartily recommend.

Just went to this place for lunch and talked to the owner and chefs - all great people! Great food, great atmosphere, and great vibe. I ordered the mojo rijo (i think) vegetarian style with sauteed tofu, and it was EXCELLENT!
