Inay's on Beacon Hill—one block away from the Sound Transit depot, across the street from the Shell station famous for its fried catfish—is one of the city's most magical outposts of awesomeness. The lighting's bright, the staff is smiley, and the Filipino food is very cheap, very tasty, and very home-style. (It's like mama used to make, literally: The recipes come from the owner's dear departed mother, and inay means "mother" in Tagalog.) Try the peppery pancit, glass noodles with chicken, sausage, and veggies; tilapia in a spicy coconut milk, jalapeño, and ginger broth; and/or tender pork adobo. Also try to come on Friday night—call ahead!—for the amazing one-person drag show. You will not regret it.

Table for Awesome!

We showed up at 7:45p last Friday (thanks to the Stranger for the recommendation!) and were told that we needed a reservation. Luckily, a 7:45 canceled so we got the last table in the house!

Ordered some lumpia, got drinks, and waited a LONG time to get our dinner order taken, but it's OK! The Drag show was on in full effect, and it was so fun!!!

She changed clothes about 6 times, sang songs, ripped her wig off, and even helped serve the food / clean up afterward.

I definitely recommend this place!

Skin Deep Dance (Tribal Belly Dance) on Saturdays @ 7pm & 8pm

A unique dining experience for the whole family!

Imagine walking into an exotic colorful restaurant full of scents of Fillipino Cuisine. You sit down with a group of friends, only to be greeted by your waiter Louie (who appears in drag). You order, you enjoy some cocktails, then..low and behold here come the Belly Dancers. But something is different, this time they are TRIBAL STYLE!!! YES!
