passable if you don't like spicy real Indian food

We went on a fairly busy Friday night - and humorously were served by a Mexican waiter and waitress, who were OK if not very knowledgeable. Ordering two chicken dishes - one medium and one medium hot - I was surprised at how truly mild they were, what I would consider one star (and I DON'T love very spicy food). The dishes were of average quality, their version of butter chicken was unusual in that it had a fruity component, not bad though but not as smooth or tasty as great versions I've had elsewhere. I didn't have a terrible experience by any means but it certainly wasn't any great food - I probably wouldn't return. Loved the outdoor seating though!

Fantastic Indian

The restaurant is cramped but the food is great. The vindaloo is a definite winner.

the worst ever

The dishes are not spiced at all, taste like canned tomato soup. Really. I didn't think Indian food could be this bad. The worst.

yummy!

I love India Bistro. I have been eating there pretty much since they opened. I work near them and I sometimes just need a comforting, blessed lunch. I am pretty sure they bless the food. I love the saag and the garlic naan. The buffet is reasonably priced. You could even take a date.

Best Saag Paneer in Seattle

Plus, you can get plenty of food for 2--naan, pakoras, and an entree (they give you plenty) for about $14 for carry-out.

Very Good.

I went with a vegetarian friend (I am a true carnivore) and she ordered everything - most of which I'd never had before. It was all good. The place itself can be a little cramped and crowded and isn't the friendliest.

Consistently Good

The India Bistro has consistently good food at very reasonable prices. Friday and Saturday nights tend to be very busy, so expect a wait.
