  • The bar scenes at the Fremont, Belltown, and Broadway Jais are all slightly different, but commonalities include fresh Thai snacks, cute servers, and happy hour drink specials. All three have full bars; Broadway and Belltown have lounges that stay open late and often host DJs and karaoke; check their website for schedules. The Belltown location has sidewalk seating next to First Avenue.

The only other Fremont Thai save Kaosumai

I wish I could comment more gently on the compatriots of the Fremont district, but Kao Sumai Thai and Jai Thai sit comfortably against each other, contenders for the top pick of Thai in Fremont. In Fremont, that's saying something - the flavors and smells of kaffir leaves and limes, basil and flavors mingle daily as you walk down the streets. Jai Thai's late night menu makes them a contender against the other spots - which close earlier. But here, in the ambience of a tiny Thai place, with a projector set to Thai films and music that doesn't interfere with the food or the company, Jai Thai is a more-than-acceptable second choice, beating out Tawon Thai. To say that Kwanjai Thai isn't even in the same league is like saying a German bratwurst is most definitively NOT an Armour hot dog.
