SOOOO Delicious!

I've not had much Greek food so I might have a bit of a biased choice but OH MY GOD this place is great!! My lunch plate was HUGE, had to take some to go. Loved everything about this meal and the service... Demtra (the owner) sweet, sweet lady..
This is down a bit from the West Seattle junction in a little area I probably would not normally take a second look and from the outside it's quaint and small, but the food has a huge bite!

Zorba would love it!

Kokoras Greek Grill is a true West Seattle find. The service is warm yet very competent (especially Bridget), the dishes are mostly traditional Greek, but done astonishingly well. The rice pilaf is like nothing else in Seattle. Save room for the dessert. My only critique is that the lamb souvalaki was slightly overdone: aim for medium rare, guys. This place is frequently full, but have no fear; they do take out (and judging from the come-and-go traffic, quite a bit!). There are very few Greek restaurants in Seattle worth mentioning. West Seattle is very fortunate to have Kokoras!

Yum!

I finally decided to try the food at Kokora's and was not disappointed! I agree with previous review; the pork is amazing. I usually get the pork slovaki or salad, but the gyros are wonderful too. I always get it to go, since the place is small and it can get crowded. The waitstaff is very pleasant too.

An Absolutely Addictive Pork Meal!

The Pork Platter at this little place is to die for! I have only tried the one dish here... about twenty times now. It is so good--and so bountiful--that my husband and I share one order of it at least once a week (although we do like to add a second salad to our order). The pork is more tender than any I have ever had before and its flavors are incredible. The salad comes with an amazing vinaigrette dressing with just a hint of sweetness to it. Be sure to get the rice pilaf instead of the potatos: I haven't actually tried the potatoes because the rice is simply out of this world! By the way, my husband tried the Beef Platter once and the beef portion was rather disappointing in comparison with the pork in the Pork Platter. Still, it was pretty good and of course he still got the great salad and the delicious rice pilaf with his meal.

Our new fave place on California Ave

This place is super cozy (bright yellow and tiny), the food is delicious, the wine authentic, and the bill a pleasantly low surprise. My husband likes greek wine (though I think it smells like goats), and he was thrilled with the selection. We both loved every dish we ordered. This place has a lot to offer for both vegetarians and carnivores.

Lovely Place!!

The Gyros here are excellent, and fast when you take them to-go! The Avego Lemono (sp?) soup is amazing! Calamari is the best I have had in the west!! Saganaki is great as well. Their website has a menu: www.kokorasgreekgrill.com
