What a moron!!! Do you even know what you're talking about? This is the only true Latin restaurant in Seattle! Based on your comments about prices and quality I can tell that you just have no idea.

Okay, If You Haven't Eaten this Kind of Food Before

It's nice that La Casa de Mojito exists, because Seattle has almost a complete dearth of Latin American or Spanish Caribbean (e.g. Cuban) restaurants. In New York, Los Angeles and other major cities this cuisine is explored exhaustively, from hole-in-the-wall diners to upscale Nuevo Latino bistros. That Seattle has none of this is a mystery to me. Yeah, I know there is not a big Cuban or Dominican population in Seattle, but this is a major world cuisine and Seattle fancies itself a sophisticated foodie town. So, the thing about Casa de Mojito is that if you haven't eaten this kind of food before you might find this an enjoyable novelty. But the truth is that the food is pretty mediocre and not inexpensive. In fact, any Dominican or Cuban diner in a major east coast city will do a better job on these dishes, with larger portions, for about half the price. And for me the atmosphere of Casa de Mojito is not that much more appealing than at your average hole-in-the wall lunch counter. So, at least one of the stars in the review is out of gratitude that this place exists and gives Seattle any kind of taste of Latin American food. But it's sad that Seattle is far behind the rest of the country in picking up on this exciting, vibrant cuisine.
