Green star Mr. Villa (Lake City)

8064 Lake City Way NE
Seattle, WA 98115
(206) 517-5660

"Homemade Tortillas" is painted on Mr. Villa's windows in foot-high letters, and that is a good sign. Locals eat them in droves, often while drinking Mr. Villa's renowned sangria—speaking of which, the same owners run the bar El Norte, a little further north on Lake City Way.

We love Mr Villa!

Seriously, these are the best tacos carnitas and enchiladas mole we have found in Seattle. The margaritas are first class; service is friendly and attentive - and even the chips n' salsa are excellent. We're always warmly welcomed by Eduardo so Mr Villa's feels like home. The $6.95 lunch is a much appreciated deal in North Seattle - you'll definitely get your money's worth and your taste buds will be happy! Mr Villa's is our favorite default "where do we go for dinner tonight" spot!

Love this place

Eduardo, wife and staff do a great job at making you feel right at home..."what will you have to drink"? If you are wise and drink Tequila try the Signature Margarita; premium ingredients muddled to perfection. The food is a wonderfully authentic (at least for this Seattleite), the Pollo ala Crema is my wife's favorite with large portions of chicken and mushies in a killer cream sauce. I like the Tacos al Carbon (I call them Crack Tacos, I haven't been able to try anthing else as these are so good I cannot pass them up), marinated tacos filled with steak...OMG, TDF!
A slice of latino heaven in little old Lake City.

Authentic and Good

I've spent years on the Mexican border and this place takes me back. A swell selection of premium tequilas along with great food and reasonable prices makes this a once a week stop. Huevos Rancheros on their breakfast menu makes me happy. Cool jazz on Wednesday nights adds to the mix.

Mr. Villa Rules

Unassuming and tasty, this place will serve you great Mexican grub, stiff Margaritas and succulent sangria quickly and fairly cheaply. One thing, though...the cheese isn't from Oaxaca, it's from Cotija, resembling a slightly less salty version of feta, or maybe parmesan. Delicious stuff.
