"I don't say much/I don't say Alize, no I don't say Dutch/Keep yo' hands off until I say, okay touch..."

Dizzle fizzle! Those present at the White River Amphitheatre for the Snoop/Game "How the West Was One" jump-off were allegedly treated with the sight of a luckless rap fan getting beat "like a slave," as the man who claims to be the victim, Richard Monroe, told the P-I. The newspaper reported that concert performers set it on dude after he climbed onstage and touched the Doggfather's shoulder. If this news item pans out to be true, looks to me like the West Coast has at last unified-to beat the unsuspecting ass of a loyal fan. Go team. But I gotta give it to Snoop, as his recent peace powwow in L.A. resulted in, among other things, the reunion of the Dogg Pound.

"This shit can go down/Muthafuckas die in this KC town/I call it 'Killer City,' 'cause that's all I see/Is muthafuckas getting RIP, you know?"

Damn... Yet another RIP goes out to Kansas City, MO's Fat Tone. Tone, who was down with C-Bo and Killa Tay, was considered a person of interest in the murder of Vallejo's Mac Dre earlier this year. Tone documented the beef between he and Dre's people in his music-Imma Getcha featured a cover image of Tone flipping the bird from his hospital bed after a near-fatal shooting in '03. One of the chief suspects in Tone's murder is Mac Minister, who's best known for catching a bad one from E-40 at the 2000 Source Awards. It would be the understatement of the century to say this shit needs to stop...

Check Chop Suey early on Sunday, June 12-round 5:00 p.m., after you get done with church-and catch The Best Damn Rap Tour, featuring the likes of J-Live and C-Rayz Walz, as well as Vast Aire and Vordul Megilah! One wonders if Vast and Vordul's separate billing means they'll be doing their respective solo joints rather than the Cannibal Ox set you really wanna see.

Speaking of C-Rayz Walz, he's finally gonna drop his Year of the Beast LP, and lemme tell ya, it's freakin' great, full of his unexpected punch lines and post-millennial Redman-cum-Buddhist monk stylings. That said, Beast will probably go down in history as the only album to feature a member of Dead Prez as well as Aesop Rock.

Local boys Clockwork are on their international grizzly-taking their show on the road to sunny Sweden, London, and Amsterdam. Members Lace Cadence, Take, and Rockwell are recording with their folks Special Blend, a crew that includes Sekken Thaughtz, who did joints for both Clockwork's and Byrdie's albums. Special Blend's label will also be releasing Clock's After Midnight abroad. While they're overseas, the fellas will also find time to record a video and perform at RockParty, a humongoloid fest in Sweden that features Snoop, Marilyn Manson, System of a Down, and M.I.A. to name a few. Okay, terrific-but y'all bring me back some special blends from Amsterdam, ya hear?
