Mary Kay Letourneau
graduated from Seattle University in 1989. As was reported in the New York Times and elsewhere, she took a teaching job in suburban Seattle after college and, in 1996, when she was 35 years old and married with four children, had sex (and a baby) with one of the 13-year-old students in her sixth-grade class. She pleaded guilty to child rape in 1997 and is still in jail.

John R. Gasser
, a Seattle University student in 1948, raped and strangled a 22-year-old woman, went to prison, got out of prison, and in 1982 raped and strangled a 49-year-old woman, according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. The first woman's body was discovered near Sand Point Naval Station; the second woman's body was discovered in a ditch near Olympia. Gasser will spend the rest of his life in prison.
