Having grown up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (the true dairy state long before California decided to spend more money on dairy advertising) and enjoyed many an evening at Kopp's Custard (on the south side) and Kitt's (on the north side) I was quite pleased to see Seattle finally discover frozen custard. Old School Frozen Custard on Capitol Hill and Bonney Lake and Peaks Frozen Custard near 65th & Roosevelt are both doing a good job of it. Though some who grew up on soft-serve and McDonald's whine about how it's not the same, they just don't get it and probably never will. Frozen custard is what ice cream aspires to be. A richer, eggier, wonderful confection that's not pumped full of air and is great as vanilla but also does a terrific job of complementing fruit flavors. Thanks to both entrepreneurs for bringing the "creme de la creme" of ice cream to Seattle.

Awesome

Simply the BEST Frozen dessert consistently available in Washington. They do it right with great flavors, inventive specials and excellent service. Can't wait for more Old Schools to open up closer to home.

Old School Frozen Custard is the real deal!!!!!

Oh my goodness, if you have not made the trip down to Bonney Lake to try Old School Frozen Custard you are missing out! It is the real deal...authentic frozen custard. So creamy and smooth and just the right consistency. I grew up in the midwest and am a transplant here to Seattle and I make a point of driving down every weekend for this stuff. I hear they are in the works of getting a store open in Seattle in the near future. So, let's all band together and get down there to help them out so they can get opened up here sooner!!! Seriously, it is worth the trip. Especially if you are heading anywhere down in that direction....stop in at Old School and you will be hooked!
