The people that work there suck

Three times out of five the people that work there burn my slices because they are too busy chatting with their friends who they leap frog ahead of me. The ingredients are sub-par, the craftsmanship of the pizza is sub-par. I hate this place with a passion.

Since when is pizza a New York thing?

I love Pagliacci with a passion. I'm sorry so many of you don't. I've been to NY and the thing I thought was great was...wait, not food. Personally, I think the standard pizza should be compared to isn't new York, isn't Chicago, but Italy. Pagliacci claims to be Neapolitan pizza. I've never been to Naples, so I don't know, but unless you're a native to the region and can tell me a comparison don't go calling Pagliacci the "wrong kind" of pizza. Ok?

Locally Sourced

Best "consistently good" pizza in Seattle. Great salads. Fun atmosphere - a Seattle staple. A lot of their ingredients are locally sourced - great company that does a lot of cool things for employees and the community.

Best in Seattle

Couple things. I'm from Chicago, home of the best pizza in the world (fuck you New York, you're not shit to Chicago pizza). Pagliacci is nowhere near my Chicago favorites, but it's a wholly different type of pizza.. it's a "Seattle" pizza to me, or a "fu-fu" pizza -- and very good in its own way. The delivery process is the best I have -ever- experienced with -any- type of food delivery service, period. You call, they have all your info already.. the process takes like 1.5 minutes and you're eating soon after that. The seasonals are good to shake things up a bit. Some of the pizzas aren't too great, but some are to die for.

Oh how I miss the AGOG!

I moved to Arizona and I still dream about the AGOG. I've tried and tried and cannot replace it... visiting Sea-town soon and heading straight to Pag's....

I Love This Pizza

The best delivery pizza or slice pizza in town. Granted it's not "fine gourmet dining pizza" or "NY quality pizza" but it's damn good dammit. I just wish they made a salad that wasn't doused in so much meat and fatty oily cheese.

meh

Another posted argued that, yeah, this isn't New York quality pizza, but it's great Seattle pizza. That might be true, but I don't go to Canada expecting to eat Mexican food. Pagliacci's is routinely touted as the best pizza around by Seattlites, but it's pretty bland and overpriced. Certainly better than going to some fast food pizza chain, though. If this truly is the best pizza in the Northwest, I think I'll be on a pizza-fast during my stay here, although I'm holding out hope for some of the other locals I've yet to try.

Frequent Pie-er Surprise

Always a quick, polite and tasty delivery option when the cupboard is bare and you don't want to go out. We were pleasantly surprised with our comped pies one night for being "frequent pie-ers." In this day and age, you have to appreciate customer appreciation. Thanks Pags!

Shut this Pie Hole

I have never eaten such cheap crappy ingredients on a pizza. I would like a manager to step forward with an invoice from their purveyors. I dare you.

It's alright. Oily, but alright.

I come here every now and then and the quality has always been consistent. The pizza is rather greasy, but I always get the plain cheese or pepperoni, and the greener varieties are oil-free if you're not into the meat or oil. It's not mind blowing, but I've never walked out of Pagliacci's thinking, "Well, that sucked." It's decent pizza by the slice at a decent price. And I'm sure, if you ordered a full pie, that at worst you could do worse. But more likely, you'll be reasonably satisfied. Pizza connoisseurs need not apply, but for the rest of you, Pagliacci is not a bad option.

AGOG

Try the AGOG Primo, and the Primo Verde... My sister worked at a Pags in Kenmore for awhile so we all grew a little dependent on their pizza. Later when I was living in the UD a block from the Pags there, it was my favorite self-indulgent "I've had a crappy day at work" dinner to get an AGOG, a bottle of wine, and some tv-on-dvd. Memories... But seriously the AGOG has a million cloves of garlic on it, it's beautiful. BEAUTIFUL.

From regular to hater

Is it just me or has the basic quality and taste of the pizza gone downhill in the past 6 months (or so)? Coming from the east coast they were the closest I could find in this town to NY style pizza and have enjoyed them for years. Then something changed recently and the pizza is just piss poor. Chain wide! The basic ingredients no longer have much taste. WTF?! Where do I go now? The Pagliacci salad is still pretty good.

Standards and Specials

They have an excellent base of standard pizzas and a great rotation of specials. Throw in some Gelato and you're set. I only wish they would expand their salad delivery menu. I didn't like the chop salad. The breadsticks are nothing special.

Good but try Palermo

You really can't go too far wrong with Pag's. They are the Seattle standard and are consistently fine. They don't have the wood fired flare of Tutta Bella, but do their thing as well as anyone. They are however, the KING of the slice. Nowhere else can yiou really get a reliable slice served fresh and hot (they have a good re-heater). But if you're getting it delivered try Palermo because they deliver to a large area and their pizza is even better, especailly delivered.

From hater to regular

Maybe I've lived here to long but I've gone from a hater to a regular. Call 'em when I'm bone tired. They remember what I ordered last time (half primo something and half peppers and chicken and a salad with the meat on the side). Put the kid to sleep, roast a bowl and wait for the door bell to ring eat a surprisingly good pizza. They're not fundies or anything are they?

PESTO zesto

Dependable. Your pesto-pasta salad and the Pesto Primo is what keeps me coming back. Don't ever change.

Me Likey

Some people love to hate on Pagliacci, and I've never understood why. The prices are a little high, true, but their sauces is great, they have consistently interesting and delicious seasonal pies, and they're fast and easy. If you want authentic New York pizza (and you do), go to Hot Mama's. This is Seattle pizza.

no complaints

Pagliaccis is the work horse of pizzarias. They are always consistent and a real standby on evenings where cooking seems impossible either because of fatigue or inebriation. They are always nice on the phone, know what we ordered before and once we got our order for free. I guess being a frequent pie-er has its advantages.

Why does everybody love this place?

Their pizza is mediocre at best. The sausage is truly awful. Their sit-down restaurants are both cold and cloying. I guess they make a pretty good salad...
