THURSDAY JUNE 6

CORDUROY

Beats International and Tilted Records are hookin' up Lower Queen Anne for a night of local and national house talent that brings out all the heads, as well as those open-shirted George-Hamilton-tan Queen Anne types. Lock up the dog, curb your gas-guzzlin' SUV, drop the kids at the soccer game, and show us what you really got! Watertown, 106 First Ave N, 284-5003, 9 pm-2 am, 21+, $5.

FRIDAY JUNE 7

PHATSO PHRIDAYS

For me, grooving to DJ Riz for the first time was kind of an initiation to the Seattle dance scene. Riz knows how to put together an eclectic set of house, hiphop, and electronic music that can move people who have never stepped foot on a dance floor, as well as people who live inside of speaker cabinets. Re-bar, 1114 Howell St, 233-9873, 9 pm-2 am, 21+, $5.

SATURDAY JUNE 8

FUNK!

Anniversaries are, like, so hot right now--Viva! Records is celebrating their four-year, Zion's Gate is celebrating their three-year, and Uniting Souls their two-year. Thankfully, they're throwing one big party together. Chicago house hero Johnny Fiasco headlines this bill along with Rob Paine of Worship Records, as well as locals Jon Lemon, Jeromy Nail, Quazar, and Zion 12. Fremont Uncoventional Center, 160 N Canal St, 9 pm-4 am, 21+, $15.

SUNDAY JUNE 9

DJ SHADOW w/ANTIPOP CONSORTIUM

DJ Shadow--sample wizard, beat technician, and producer behind the fabulous U.N.K.L.E project--will be rolling into the Showbox, bringing his brand of spacious sonic beats and trip/hiphop. Showbox, 1426 First Ave, 628-3151, 8 pm-2 am, all ages, $22.

TUESDAY JUNE 11

BLING BLING

Queen Lucky plays more hiphop cuts than you can shake a Philly blunt at. Since it was remodeled last year, the Backdoor has more room and even more funky décor. It's definitely one of the most underrated dance clubs in Seattle. Backdoor Ultra Lounge, 503 Third Ave, 622-7665, 9 pm-2 am, 21+, $5.
