Berlin's Dixon is daring enough to release mix CDs that bring together artists like house/electro mad professor Morgan Geist, Detroit hiphop legend Jay Dee, and techno giant John Tejada. He's also been put to work remixing tracks by Jazzanova, Attica Blues, and Femi Kuti (to name a few). Tonight he'll be playing the Baltic Room with Michael Antonia and J-Justice. San Francisco's Afro-Mystik fuses Afro-Brazilian, jazz, and house music, presenting it with live instrumentation and vocals to help maintain an organic approach to founding member DJ Fluid's electronic influences. SLINK: CHRIS SIMMONDS
The UK's Chris Simmonds has been DJing and producing sought-after house tracks for well over a decade. He also runs Cross Section Records, which has artists like Tim Deluxe and DJ Assassin on the production roster. Tonight the floor should be stompin'.
