THURSDAY JUNE 5

DJ GREYBOY

San Diego's good son DJ Greyboy played a significant part in cultivating the West Coast acid jazz and rare groove scenes in the early '90s--which in turn led to his present-day explorations in jazz-inspired hiphop. Sharpshooters' DJ Sureshot is also on the bill, so this should be an evening of smooth, solid grooves. Baltic Room, 1207 Pine St, 625-4444, 9:30 pm-2 am, 21+, $10.

FRIDAY JUNE 6

STYLUS: WALLY CALLERIO AND RICK PRESTON

Wally Callerio's deep house mix tapes Propaganda and Diggin' Deep (on Dufflebag Records) are a couple of the few old relics still in rotation on my trusty Panasonic--the fabulous mixes and great track selections stand the test of time and technology. Also on the bill is Viva Records' Rick Preston. Deep Down Lounge, 126 S Jackson St, 682-3242, 9 pm-2 am, 21+, $5 before 11 pm.

SATURDAY JUNE 7

HEAVEN: BILL HAMEL

Attention, all of you large-room rave casualties: Bill Hamel is a prominent contributor to the progressive house scene, recently heightening his profile with remixes for Justin Timberlake and trance deity Paul Oakenfold. Donald Glaude (or just "Donald," as Seattleites refer to him) is also on the bill. This is also the pre-funk for USC 7--seven years, rave on you crazy diamond! Noiselab, 323-2189, 925 E Pike St, 9 pm-3 am, 18+, $13.

MONDAY JUNE 9

FOURTHCITY WEEKLY

For those of you who crave stimulation for your eyes, ears, and brain, Fourthcity Weekly incorporate laptops, visuals, dancing, and live musicianship in their weekly happenings (which come together similar to Plan B's shows, for those who have seen that multitasking act). With Kamui, Hideki, and Bumblebee. Deep Down Lounge, 126 S Jackson St, 682-3242, 9 pm-2 am, 21+, $2.

WEDNESDAY JUNE 11

Siamese are taking a little breather from their live drum 'n' bass tour to stop by the oh-so-loungy ToST, which is nestled in the lovely and free-spirited community of Fremont, for those who haven't been. ToST, 513 N 36th St, 547-0240, 9:30 pm-2 am, 21+, $5.
