A Capitol Hill standby known for its extra-great espresso (from a vintage hand-pulled machine), cute little Pettirosso closed at the end of 2011, but good news, everyone! It reopened at the end of 2012, with a bigger menu, more space, more hours, and lots of sweet, sweet booze (in the form of a full bar)—and it's now owned by Yuki Sodos (who used to work there back in the day) and her sister Miki, who also run the very-much-loved Bang Bang Cafe in Belltown.

One of my favs

Pettirosso is a great place to go for dinner after or before theatre. The atmosphere is industrial, earthy, comfortable and quietly elegant. The food is amazing! The price is reasonable. I love this place!

This place makes you feel great!

Good, simple vegan/veggie options well-excectued. Sit at the bar and have a drink or get brunch- I promise it will make you happy :)
