Green star Pizzeria Pulcinella (Down South)

Website

From the Neapolitan family that brings us local mini-chain Vince's, Pizzeria Pulcinella serves traditional Neapolitan pizza that's baked for a mere 90 seconds at 900 degrees in a Valoriani wood-fired oven imported from Italy. The result: a tender, chewy, easily foldable pie that people LOVE. Also: salads, antipasti, lasagna, and the house specialty dessert of mascarpone and espresso liqueur on pizza crust with chocolate sauce.

Mi amore Pulcinella

Pulcinella is the champion pizza in the South End. That's not easy, because there is fierce competition (Tutta Bella, Mio Posto, Flying Squirrel) in this part of town. EVERYTHING on their menu tastes phenomenal. Food is prepared with precision and care (watch the open kitchen). Service is above average. And they consistently perform at this level night in and night out.
