Help Me Harass You/Queen Anne/Wed Jan 1/7:16 pm: Approximately two weeks ago, the victim received a telephone call at home from an unknown male who stated that he was watching her as he talked to her. The unknown man also knew her name, and other very personal details about her. The victim immediately hung up and drew the blinds across her windows. Tonight at 7:16 pm, the victim again received a call from an unknown male--possibly the same person as before--who said her number was in his day planner but he had somehow misplaced her name. The unknown caller then asked her to help him identify her, so that he could resume his harassment with the necessary details. The victim refused to help him and hung up. The victim's caller ID showed that the suspect's number was not available, and the *69 function was also blocked. The victim has informed her telephone company about the situation.
Dennis the Fucking Phone Menace/Lake City/Thurs Jan 9/11:30 am: Today, a Lake City lady reported that she received a random obscene call from a man named "Dennis," who asked her about the "new pants on the Internet, for pubic hair," and hung up when she threatened to *69 him. Nevertheless, she used the *69 function, but Dennis' phone was blocked. The next time Dennis calls, she plans to use the *57 function to trace the foul source of this telephone menace.
More Phone Harassment/Queen Anne/Sat Jan 11/10 pm: Tonight, a man called a restaurateur at his place of business and said, "Leave your wife alone, she doesn't want you." The suspect called the restaurateur two more times, claiming that he knew the restaurateur's wife's name and where she worked. While Officer Shean was interviewing the distressed victim, the determined suspect called yet again. Officer Shean listened to him say this: "Leave your wife alone, dawg. She doesn't want you. She needs a new man. Someone who will love her with real love, yo." From the pattern and texture of the suspect's voice, Officer Shean determined he was "an Asian male, with an accent reminiscent of hip-hop/rap slang." The restaurateur has no idea who is making these calls, and has been happily married for four years.
Threatening the Ass in Her Head/Maple Leaf/Sun Jan 19/6:43 pm: This afternoon, a man reported to the SPD that his 14-year-old daughter had received a threat on her voice mail. The victim, who has had the voice mail service for approximately four months, replayed the saved message for the reporting officer, Officer Sausman. Officer Sausman writes: "The message appears to be from two females. It begins with a few obscenities. Then one of the females states, 'I go to your school, you better watch your back. I'm gonna bring a gun to school and shoot your ass, in your head.' There was no further information on the message." The victim stated that only five people in the whole high school have her number. The father and daughter were given an incident number.
