Day and Night Sex Activity in Belltown/ Downtown/Wed Oct 18/1:44 am: When Officer Smith noticed a brown Ford Explorer idling on the 600 block of Bell St, his senses screamed crime! He then saw a white woman named Nancy, who is a known prostitute in the Belltown area, exit the left rear passenger door of the vehicle, and the Explorer drive away westbound on Bell St. Later that night, the ever watchful Officer Smith saw the same brown vehicle idling on the 500 block of Bell St. He then observed another white woman named Irene, who's also a well-known Belltown prostitute, exit the right rear of the vehicle. Later that night, Officer Smith saw the brown Explorer yet again! This time it wasn't idle, but "circling the Belltown neighborhood." "This neighborhood," Officer Smith wrote in the report, "is notorious for drug and prostitution activity at all times of the day and night!" Officer Smith stopped the Explorer on the intersection of Westlake Ave and Denny Way. The driver was a black man. Next to him was a white woman named Storm. The black man told the officer that he was looking for his lost son. Officer Smith ignored the claim and checked the driver's name on the cop computer: He was a sex offender! Officer Smith "admonished the [black sex offender]" for cruising an area of high prostitution and drugs, and then released him.
The Desperate Desires of a Downtown Hamburger Woman/Downtown/Mon Oct 23/4 pm: A 21-year- old man was eating in a downtown McDonald's when a 30ish woman who wore a McDonald's uniform and had long black hair, acne scars, and large hoop earrings motioned for him to come into a hallway not far from his table. The young man imprudently left his hamburger meal and followed the mysterious woman into the abyss. When they reached the end of the hallway, the woman grabbed his crotch area and said, "I wannna see it! Let me see it!" The desperate woman then pushed the young man into the woman's bathroom (still holding his genitals!), unzipped him, and thrust her hungry hand into the depths of his pants. At this delirious point, the young man gathered enough strength to push her away, and fled the fast-food restaurant. He later told the police that the woman had a heavy Spanish accent and he would recognize her anywhere, anytime.

Dirt-Cheap Downtown Sex/Downtown/Mon Oct 23/11:15 pm: At this time of night, undercover detective Umporowicz was working the area of Second and Pike St when a white male approached him and asked if he wanted "chiba or rock." The undercover cop said he wanted sex. The suspect said, "no problem," and promised to produce a beautiful Puerto Rican girl in a minute. The man returned five minutes later with a female (the report does not say if she was beautiful or Puerto Rican) and demanded $50. The cop offered $30. The pimp said, "deal," and handed him the girl. Though the pimp was busted for "promoting vice," one is impressed by two things in this otherwise ordinary report: (1) how fast and easy it is to find a prostitute in the downtown area; (2) how cheap (indeed miserably cheap) downtown sex is.
A Belltown Room with a View/Downtown/ Tues Oct 24/3:30 pm: Today, Officer R. Marlow spoke with an apartment manager of a building on Second Ave. The manager told the officer that her tenants approached her about "the sex activity" that was occurring at the apartment building across the street. She then pointed out the building in question, and, indeed, the very window of the apartment where the sex was taking place. Every night, she explained to Officer Marlow, her tenants saw many different men having sex with the same woman in that apartment. This goes on throughout the whole night, and everyone can see everything from their windows. "I attempted to contact the occupants at the apartment," reports Officer Marlow, "but was unable to gain access."
