For the many up-and-coming bands working toward their big break in Seattle, life can sometimes seem cold and cruel. But for the newly local industrial/ambient band Elysian (not to be confused with the beloved pub of the same name), life went from cold 'n' cruel to just plain fucked up. On Nov 26, during an as-yet-unsolved robbery of the band's 11th Ave rehearsal space (between Pike and Pine), Elysian lost $700 worth of equipment, including a CD burner, a laptop computer, and two pricey pairs of headphones. But the worst loss was easily the two spindles of CDs loaded with original audio files created over the past 15 years by Elysian bandleader Kurt--the man who's also responsible for creating this week's endearingly agonized Poster of the Week.

(If you or anyone you know has any idea where these spindles of priceless CDs have wound up, please drop a note to elysiangoa@lycos.com.)
