"The Oregon Music Hall of Fame is a new, nonprofit organization that was created to help preserve Oregon's unique musical heritage," says the OMHOF's website. In the future they hope to have "a building that will house our Hall of Fame, displaying exhibits and memorabilia from Oregon's great musical talents," but for now they're putting on shows and holding silent auctions to raise more money. This weekend is the organization's First Annual Induction Ceremony that features performances by Oregon's own Mark Lindsay, Everclear, the Kingsmen, Mason Williams, Jon Koonce, and more. What's a crime is that Elliott Smith isn't at the top of their list of honorees.
