When Fiona is locked overnight in a walk-in freezer, she emerges with a furious resentment toward the husband who didn't notice her absence and a Close Encounters-style obsession with a distant iceberg. Chased by her bewildered mate, she sets sail on a silly, stylized northward journey with a deaf-mute mariner who can't swim. The structure is a bit muddled, but Fiona's string-bean physicality is fascinating. And you'd have to have a frozen French fry for a heart to resist Nattikuttuk, who bookends L'Iceberg with adorable Inuktitut giggles.
