Murder Party
One lonely Halloween night, a parking enforcement officer finds a lacy party invitation fluttering on the ground. At the designated location, a cluttered warehouse in Brooklyn, he discovers a gang of disaffected artists who want to murder him in the name of art—or something like that. Satisfying splatter and agreeable hipster jokes ensue. Murder Party is a little thin on plot and could stand to have another 10 minutes shaved off the intro (the movie is at a modest 80 minutes already), but it's nicely constructed, and for a low-budget indie, the acting is exceptional.
