In this too-cute children's movie from Australia (distressingly, it's by the director of The Full Monty), a little girl named Kellyanne (Sapphire Boyce) loves her imaginary friends Pobby (round, with a peg leg) and Dingan ("the pretty one") so deeply that when they supposedly get lost in the vicinity of her father's opal mine, she sickens and begins to waste away. Kellyanne's older brother Ashmol (the sturdy Christian Byers), previously not a fan of his sister's juvenile obsession, tries his best to locate the stray friends. The movie manages to be somewhat touching when it sticks close to home, but the cruel adults who bring a lawsuit against Kellyanne's father stretch all bounds of credulity. Strictly for kids and the most patient of parents.
