Longtime Syracuse University assistant basketball coach Bernie Fine, 66, who helped lead the Orange to an NCAA Division I championship in 2003, was fired after ESPN released the tape of a 2002 phone call that appears to confirm sexual molestation charges. "I know everything that went on," Fine's wife, Laurie, is recorded telling accuser (and former ball boy) Bobby Davis, who claims to have been molested over a number years: "You know, he needs... that male companionship that I can't give him, nor is he interested in me, and vice versa." Davis tells ESPN that he and Laurie Fine also had a sexual relationship when he was 18, an affair for which she apparently expresses regret on the tape. Oakland Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain, 22, smiled for the cameras as he was arrested by Decatur, Alabama, police on December 1 on charges of third-degree assault, menacing, reckless endangerment, and discharging a firearm inside the city limits after he allegedly pointed a gun at a man's head following a fight, before holding it next to his ear and firing into the air. On January 27, 2011, a vehicle McClain was driving was shot at while he was visiting his hometown of Decatur.
