My Favorite Happy Hour

I posted the review above. Wanted to make sure Spur got the stars it deserves.

Food: Small plates, great food, as long as you are not a vegetarian. You can get salmon, ostrich, and rabbit, paired with excellently flavored sauces and garnishes with complimentary textures.

Beverages: Amazing drinks, delicious bartender. Seriously, the bar manager/bartender is beautiful in addition to mixing fantastic cocktails. Good selection of liquor, fresh squeezed juices, and different flavors, like the peach bitters that (I think) they make in house.

Service: Good

Ambiance: Cool. It has the most comfortable bar stools ever and is constantly showing old black and white westerns without any volume. The lighting is low and the decor is spare without being cold.

Cost: It is pretty pricey for dinner, but has incredible deals for happy hour.

Gastrolove

As terrified as I am that the rest of Seattle is going to figure out what's going on at SPUR, these folks deserve major kudos for getting it right. Cocktails: spot on. Food: right up there with Sitka and How to Cook a Wolf. Service: perfect (knowledeable; well mannered but still charming). If you want beer, though, you're better off going to Quinn's. This is a cocktail and wine joint. Hallelujiah!

People in Seattle are slippin!

Brilliant food, cocktails, staff, and room vibe. Why the eff isn't this place packed every night. Been no less than a dozen times, and perfect each time. Has to engender ulcers putting put such teriffic product to the lukewarm response of the public. Best of luck to the people doin' it, and doin' it well.
