I often and sadistically hope that Amazon will collapse beneath the weight of its corporate ego and libertarian bullshit. But I also know that the local economy would be devastated if Amazon were critically injured.

I am reminded of all those aggrieved liberals who fled big banks to put their money in the Boeing Employees Credit Union. Yeah, I'm a member of that wonderful credit union, too, but last time I checked, Boeing still makes airplanes, which are not exactly the most environmentally friendly machines.

On the sterile streets of South Lake Union, I am constantly reminded that I have become a seriously privileged fucker with privileged moral dilemmas. And chances are great, if you're reading this newspaper, that you're a seriously privileged fucker with the same privileged moral dilemmas.

All of Seattle, including you socialists currently painting protest signs, needs South Lake Union to generate money. Damn. recommended
