Holy fagazole! I can hardly wrap my brain around it. I can barely contain myself! (As a rule!) And WHY? WHY?! Because I'm a flipping spazwad, that's why (naturally), but also because it's happening again... IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN! The whole damn Gay Pride thing! All damn gay month! Can you feel it? CAN YOU SMELL IT? It feels like freedom, baby. It smells like America. (Also, rainbows!) And we are going to kick the whole damn rainbow-smelling nonsense off with David Schmader (who better?) at Central Cinema (where better?), as he, a most notable commentator, notably commentates one of his favorite movies, Chuck & Buck (never heard of it!). David explains, "Oh, man, you must and squirm squirm squirm!! It's a dark, dark comedy of a developmentally arrested homosexual stalker man-child. Even more upsetting, it's about a developmentally arrested homosexual stalker man-child who WRITES A PLAY about his stalkery love for his childhood wank-buddy and prominently stages it with a semiprofessional theater company in the former wank-buddy's hometown. An interesting SIFF film called Do You See Colors When You Close Your Eyes at Harvard Exit! Storm games, gay fashion shows on buses, GADZOOKS! But tonight, our focus is on Re-bar and the two magical, queerical things happening there: FIRST! Transgenderist and super-dragster Jackie Beat in from NYC to dazzle your eyeballs and tickle your bones (funny and otherwise) with music and general hysteria. SECOND! The first ever Ms. Bacon Strip Pageant! All of the magic and impending heart disease of a regular Bacon Strip, but your favorite BS regulars compete to be your Princess of Pork!
