FRONT OF BOOK Letters: Didn't read.... Last Days: Brilliant.... NEWS Back to its regular, needlessly bloated size this week, the paper's news section also returns to its standard form. Said form: tiresome.... FEATURE A quick recap of The Stranger's recent features: HIV article, Queer Issue, HIV article, streetcar article, and now an article on a small writers' organization. This conjures a question: Are The Stranger's editors intentionally trying to alienate the bulk of their readers, or are they merely attempting to bore them to tears? One thing's quite certain: We can all look forward to next week's dull feature, the topic of which will undoubtedly be an HIV-positive gay man who rides public transportation while reading Proust. Do not fret if your breath is not bated.... THEATER Too gay.... BOOKS Didn't read.... ART Didn't read.... FOOD Didn't read.... MUSIC A decent section this week, including a well-written piece by Michael Alan Goldberg.... FILM Didn't read.... ETC. Nightstand: Didn't read.... Some Candy Talking: Also didn't read.... Live Wire: Next to Last Days, the paper's best column.... Erasing Hours: Next to Five to Four, the paper's worst column.... Savage Love: A lazy column this week, as Savage is apparently on vacation. So why didn't he turn in a standard "greatest hits" column? Perhaps because there are no greatest hits to be found.... I Love TV: Ridiculous, arrogant, yet somehow occasionally funny. The Stranger's most confusing (and confused) column.... Control Tower: Didn't read.... Celebrity I Saw U: Too gay....
