BUSH REELECTION ALERT
Since Josh Feit is on vacation, I will avail myself of this opportunity to: (a) call him a lunatic, and (b) downgrade the alert from Orange to a more appropriate Yellow. Bush actually had a good week. The UN Security Council passed his Iraq resolution unanimously, and the new American-vetted transitional regime in Iraq made--surprise, surprise--all the right noises. Still, violence there continues unabated, and the alert was set too high anyway, so down it comes (at least until next week). --SK
