Here's how bad the Kerry campaign is. Two weeks ago, under the impression that Kerry was actually running a well-oiled fighting machine poised and ready to take on Karl Rove, I confidently wrote in this space, "The anti-Kerry book, Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry, doesn't have me worried; that'll be dismissed as the hoax it is...."
Turns out, sadly, I was naive to assume Kerry--having raised more than $200 million from us angry Democrats-- had that one covered. Jesus, Senator No Bounce, remember Clinton's rapid response? Well, Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry has been #1 on Amazon.com for weeks. Right now, I'm feeling pretty nostalgic for one feisty governor from Vermont. --JF
