A favorite

Everytime we go (three times this August), there is something new and delicious on the menu. This last time it was brandade. I've never had it before and was reluctant, but it was delicious. The first visit it was salmon carpacho, and last visit it was the grilled sardines. The drinks and desserts are also daring and delicious. The atmosphere is lively and the service is professional. The only warning is to plan for a few hours and to go for a drink somewhere while waiting for the hostess to call with your table.

fantastic brunch

Our family enjoyed a fabulous brunch today at the Walrus and the Carpenter. My 7 yr old said that the clam chowder (featuring fresh steamed clams) was the best he had ever tasted. The grown ups agreed. The buttery biscuits and were incredible. My favorite dish was the pork crepinette. I loved the combination of flavors with the salty pork, sweet jam and delicious poached egg. My husband's favorite dish was the steak tartare. Of course, the oysters were amazing and we enjoyed a sample of 7 different kinds. I am looking forward to eating from the dinner menu.

Great food and top shelf booze!

Everything about this place is quality. Food is delicious, ambiance is bright and cheerful, and their well pours are all top shelf (Bulleit bourbon in the well? Umm, yes please). Every detail is thought out down to the ice cubes. Great patio and parking in back are total bonuses.

Very friendly staff as well. I'll be back for sure!
