Volunteer Park Cafe’s Heather Earnhardt was born in North Carolina, and the Wandering Goose is her “tiny but magical” Southern-influenced cafe—biscuit sandwiches, hush puppies, grits, country ham, various gravies, greens, and more, all “seasonal and affordable” for take-out or eat-in breakfast or lunch. The space has a wall of vintage windows looking into Ethan Stowell’s Rione XIII next door.

Keep Wandering.... .

After taking a friend there for a birthday lunch, I only have this to say: It's not worth it !!!! Not worth the hassle of trying to get a table, then waiting until Hell freezes over to get average food delivered by some guy who could care less if you get any service at all !!!!
If you are lucky you can get out of there without getting a brain seizure from the music they play.
Nothing is more expensive than a sub-standard experience!!

Please pass the sweet potatoes!

Just come for the Friday night dinner. You won't be sorry. And expect a rollickin', delicious, family-style dinner unlike anything else in Seattle.
