700 Bellevue Way #300

I went to the Parlor on Saturday night with a few friends and to my dismay was let down. It was fairly crowded at the bar and in the lounge area too but by no means should it take 30min to get a drink. I have seen large bars like this before but they have always had plenty of staff. Where is all your staff Parlor? On such a busy night I noticed one bartender trying to help everyone while another walked back and forth looking for something to do; get me a drink maybe? I would recommend like every other place, three or four bartenders helping all of us angry thirsty customers. Also, why did I feel like I had to get out of the way for every pissed off waitress walking around. If you don't like your job then don't do it! Overall my friends and I would rather go somewhere else and recommend any future customers do the same. Let down!
This place is like sitting in a doctor's office, you wait and wait and wait and after the bartenders are done talking to friends or putting out fires by angry customers you might get helped. I am sorry to say with such a large bar and not enough bartenders you snooze you lose $$$$$. We won't go back!
The Parlor is what you call TRASH in a mall!!! This place was not even half full and the line out front was ridiculous. The waitress was something I would find down in Renton serving hot dogs to bums, the bartender was a chubby faced arrogant clown; the music in the back was TRASH and most of the people in there should be down in pioneer a square at the central drinking PABST Blue Ribbon. TRASH**********
I have been going to the Parlor for the past 11 months and tonight I have never been more dissapointed in my life!!! First of all I did not order one drink and one of the bouncers said I was too drunk to be in your facility. Second of all when my friend asked to talk to the manager, the manager's exact words were "I don't want to talk to this fucking guy, you guys are kicked out for the rest of their lives!" Honestly, this has been the first time I have ever written a review because I have never been so upset about ANY place in my life!! This place might seem nice, but the management and the poor judgement about this place makes NO ONE ever want to come back to this place EVER!!! I am seriously not one of those regular drunk people that come around and talk shit... but I feel like I have been mistreated!! and being a regular customer for the past year... I do not want to come back to this place!!!!!!!! The Parlor just lost 75 customers!!!!!
It's gotta be the easiest job in the world to be a bar/club manager & bouncer in Bellevue. But somehow, these guys have to walk around like they're on their periods or they're tough 5hit. Give it a break guys, most of you guys would get eaten alive at a real club, so feel lucky you guys can live the dream.
The manager doesn't have a problem getting into chick's faces & yelling at the top of his lungs cause they got the crazy idea to dance WITH their drink in their hand. I know, crazy! Head bouncer looks like a meth-dealer & walks around like he's working a maximum security penitentiary, not some half-assed club filled with rich, dorky Microsoft employees & Eastside folk & kids in their early-20's getting their first taste of the nightlife. How the hell are you gonna kick a girl out for dancing too sexy?! I'm not joking, this is a policy at the Parlor.
And it's not too many clubs where the bouncers are more hyped-up & looking for trouble than the drunk knuckleheads that go there. I've been out alot, & I've never seen so many people get surrounded, intimidated, or kicked out of a club. I can understand if the Parlor was in Tacoma or the Central District, but it's in the heart of Bellevue, in the same building as Microsoft. Calm down idiots, you got nothing to worry about, especially when you have 2-4 Bellevue PD officers standing outside the whole night with nothing to do besides arrest some kid that didn't pay for his popcorn at the movie theater.
And like others said before me, service is way too slow & the layout of the place is horrible. It's a huge place, but they put so many chairs/tables in the lounge/restaurant area next to the main bar that you can't even walk up there to get a drink. The bar next to the dancefloor is impossible to get to cause of the overflow of people from the tiny dance floor.
Bottom Line: It's good they don't charge a cover to get into this place, cause it wouldn't be worth it at all. They need new management, more bartneders, & to get rid of most of the bouncers, especially the head bouncer.
This is the WORST place I have ever been in my entire life. Me and my best friend pre-paid $50 EACH to get into their lame-ass New Year's Eve party, basically just to watch Mad Rad. When we tried to enter at 9:30 p.m., they said my friend was too drunk, even though the night was just getting started. They refused to let her in, and consequently kicked me out too. After making a huge scene, getting arrested and banned from the place for a year, I feel the need to let everyone know to stay away. They were basically discriminating on us because we aren't white, and don't dress like every other rich bitch in the place. This place is full of people who have no lives and like to intimidate others to make up for their small egos. Fuck the parlor and fuck bellevue.
This place has gone down hill. Don't waste your time. This place use to have a cool vibe but since it added a comedy club/club it seems to attract the snobs and old women. The drinks are awful plus they are very very weak. I like hip bars but this bar trys way to hard and it doesn't help to have jerks at the front door. Stay way, really don't waste your time.
After a day of shopping I went across the way to Lincoln square and saw the Parlor. My friends had gone there before and I felt like playing some pool. The greeter was very nice and although he asked me to check my hat, he gave me a tour of the entire place. It is pretty huge, and you can't tell! After that we got a pool table and the same greeter set up the balls for us. The server came up and let me know it was happy hour and we ordered one of everything. The food started coming out rather quickly. We had plenty to eat and drink and the tab was not very high, especially split between all of my group. At the end we were also invited back for a complimentary comedy show, and I think i'm going to take them up on it soon!
I went out on Sunday (Superbowl)and was walking around downtown Bellevue looking for a good place to watch the game. We saw a sign advertising the Parlor as the place to go so we gave it a chance. At first glance it looked like a nice pool hall, and although there were tvs at the bar and around the tables, it didn't seem like the place to watch the game. The host then told me that there was a drop down screen in the back so we went in. The place just keeps going and going, and we got around the corner and there it was. A lounge with seating all around an the drop down screen. They had great specials all night so we stayed there. After the game we even shot some pool and then a DJ came in. Needless to say that this was a long day of fun and drinking. The manager gave us a couple of complimentary tickets so we will come back and check it out on a Friday, and try out their comedy room as well.
I don't know why people rate this place so harshly, every time I come here it's been great. Some of the comments are really uncalled for. But anyway, I especially like their happy hour, good food and proportions for the price. The servers are always friendly, even in the mist of total chaos going on in the bar. I haven't been to a comedy show yet, but I'll be back to give it a try. Overall no major complaints
I just want to say that there is no other place in Bellevue that has this many options for customers. I go to the Parlor every week for their happy hour, or their comedy shows, or on the weekend for dancing. Why drive to Seattle and look for parking for hours, when you can go to Bellevue, get a great DJ and parking downstairs. Even in Bellevue, the Parlor has 5 star restaurant food and the laid back atmosphere that I like to enjoy on my time off. No other place can compare!
I went to the Parlor this weekend and had so much fun! They had Rex Navarrete as their comedian and it was a packed show. He was so funny,i was laughing so hard that i had tears in my eyes. After the show was over we danced the rest of the night. It was a great night out!
I chose the Parlor as the place where i would celebrate my birthday this year. It was on a Saturday and it was really full. We had some drinks in the lounge while we waited for a table. It wasn't too long until we got one and we kept it for the rest of the night. Some of us played pool while others went back and forth between the lounge and the pool section. It is nice to know that you can have a time out from the dance floor and relax while playing some pool and enjoying great drinks. The server was so nice, and she even brought out a Sunday for my birthday! how nice, i'll be back!
If you want to go out in Bellevue I would definitely recommend going to the Parlor. We went last weekend because we wanted to dance. We got there right around 9pm and got a booth in the lounge. At 9:30 it started getting busy and soon enough things got started and everyone was dancing. Drinks are cheaper than clubs in Seattle, and we got to have a booth without having to pay anything. The DJ was great and so was the food. Thanks to our server for keeping the drinks coming!
I like coming to this place because there is always something going on. I came in on a Friday night with my boyfriend just for a quick drink, but ended up staying pretty much for the whole night. Our bartender gave us free tickets to the comedy show going on which happened to be Heather McDonald from The Chelsea Lately show. Hilarious!! After the show there was a packed dance floor, DJ was great if you are into top 40's, hiphop. Not a place if you are into a more low key setting, this place definitely reminded me of a packed Vegas night club. Kudos on making a great spontaneous date night.
After a movie my friend and I stepped in and checked out The Parlor. It is huge, and you could pretty much get lost in there. The food and drinks were great, prices were about the same as everywhere in Bellevue. I'll be back again!
Hm. I gotta be honest. I was always tempted to visit this place, the place of big glass windows and pool tables. But since I have my favorite pool place, I always passed this place.
This place was actually not bad at all. Inside was wide, well organized with pool tables, reasonable prices. I really enjoyed being there with friends. The service was great, they even had a service light so my server would come right over. Food was also great, not your usual bar food, but a full menu, and even steak!
I'll be back again for sure!
I work at Microsoft, so I frequent The Parlor after work especially for their happy hour. Great food & quantity for a great price. My bill is always under $10 and walk out completely satisfied. Pool is great too, only $10 an hour on the weekdays.
I attended one of the comedy show here at The Parlor and it was a great experience! The comedian was amazing (Larry Miller!) and we always had a drink in hand. I'm really glad there is a comedy club that brings in names that rarely visit the NW. I'm really looking forward to Rob Schnieder!
The Parlor: Fun place, great parking, over all Lincoln Center has a 4 star entertainment rating,Good Sound,Nice Vibe,if you like room around your pool table it's here,I personally like the Comedy Club, Just found out there is a open mic night on Wednesday, Happy hour is nice 3-6pm,The private rooms are great! if you have enough people it's no different than buying a ticket for a football game the (Large) TV's are nice, lots of other places to go to-but-I choose the Parlor to meet my friends and have some fun! Peace.
We went as a foursome for the Comedy show and New Years Celebration.
The Comedy show and service within the comedy club was great. The Hostess and comedians really made this a night we would not forget.
Fast forward to the comedy show letting out and we walked out to the dance floor only to be greeted by a flying drink that hit my wife square in the chest. Within two minutes there was a big brawl on the dance floor which security did a good job settling down. decided to stay for a little bit since we had paid for a VIP booth in the club. Another ten minutes passes and we are greeted by a young guy in a kilt puking his guts out in the garbage can next to our booth. Needless to say we gave up a booth we paid $100 dollars for and headed out.
Maybe it was just new years but they really need to limit the age group to over at least 25 where they can actually act like grownups.
