Good riddance Trattoria Mitchelli!

Not surprised to see this place go out of business.

Our first experience there was so awful (terrible food, forgotten orders, waiting 45 minutes for disappearing waitstaff, etc, then double-charged our credit card) that they gave us a gift certificate, because apparently nobody on their staff could figure out how to refund a credit card transaction over the course of a week and a half of phone tag. Which meant we made the mistake of going back. And had the same experience all over again.

Apparently there weren't enough tourists (anyone in Seattle long enough had probably already been warned) in Pioneer Square to keep the place afloat in this economy.

It's just amazing it took so long.

Yuckie!

What a horrible experience. We were seated, an order taken and then forgotten. Our waiter forgot to put in our order and lost it! He had to come back to take it again and never even appologized. Our food was disgusting...besides the flavor being non existent my husband's pasta was so over cooked it was mushy and gummy. We were never offered a refill on our drinks and had to wait 30 min from when we were done for our check. We ended up being there for two hours! This was the only time in my life where I almost dined and dashed.

Cute girl behind the bar...

Yeah...that's the only good thing about this place. I'm sorry, but it just ain't Italian. I have eaten here twice and both times it was just awful. Pasta sauce was just glop, salad was almost fresh. Tried a chicken dish that was terribly underdone. But I might go back in...only to see the cute girl behind the bar!

Gives Italian food a bad rep

The food here is digusting--definitely not edible. How do you mess up pasta like this? The outdoor patio is OK, though. Good people watching.

Boring and bad

Whoa! We never should have been lured by the $1 pizza sandwich board on 1st Avenue. There's a reason the happy hour pizza is cheap--its nearly inedible. The service was horrible and the food was worse. I can't believe this place stays in business.
