FRIDAY 4/1

GUN OUTFIT, AMERICAN VACUUM, NAOMI PUNK

No Age's Dean Spunt is a paragon of good taste, as evidenced by the mouthwatering wares hawked via his label Post Present Medium. Among the stellar PPM roster is well-established Olympia trio Gun Outfit, who draw lots of apt (if obvious) comparisons to drawling, melody-minded heavyweights like Sonic Youth and Meat Puppets. Since Friday is April Fools' Day, there's an incredibly slim chance this lineup will mischievously swap places with the Nuclear Cowboyz freestyle motocross at Tacoma Dome. Picture a gang of alt-sports maniacs attempting bike tricks at Cairo while Gun Outfit play to the nosebleeds in Tacoma. I wouldn't bet on it, but, dude, you never know. Cairo, 8 pm, $5.

BEATS ANTIQUE, THE TAILOR, ESKMO

I recall seriously vibing on Eskmo's Decibel Festival performance last year, and the SF-based dubstep producer has some amazing mixes and original material to his name. Showbox at the Market, 8 pm, $18–$20.

SUNDAY 4/3

CRAFT SPELLS, THE SOFT MOON, WITCH GARDENS

Recent Seattle transplant Justin Vallesteros, aka Craft Spells, is one of Captured Tracks' swiftly rising stars, and he's joined for this show by another CT signee, the Soft Moon. The former's post-punk lands danceable and spirited; the latter's, more atmospheric and edgy. Together, they're too potent a pairing of noisemakers to resist. The Emerald City is blessed to have Vallesteros, even if he's about to abscond on a lengthy nationwide tour with Beach Fossils and won't return to our rainy burg until May. Vera Project, 7:30 pm, $7–$8.
