Vermillion is an art gallery in the front, while in the back there's the world's pleasantest surprise of a bar—a room that feels both cavernous and comfortable, with no natural light but perfect lighting. A jukebox plays great old 45s, an assortment of board games is on offer, wine is inexpensive, and simple, delicious snacks are available. Vermillion possesses the massive virtue of being wonderful without trying too hard.

I like Vermillion

I don't know another spot like Vermillion, where I can be out and at home at the same time. This wine bar/gallery feels like a secret, tucked as it is between numerous stylish and noisy hang outs on 11th. The food and wine are good, and the service is sincere. One of my favorite aspects of this spot is it's sense of humor, expressed through decor, art shows, and events: wry, odd and often childlike, Vermillion is a refreshing take on bar and gallery alike!
