This mid-priced, Parisian-styled bistro features coq au vin, pate, and even the occasional frog-leg special. The salads are lovely, and the spicy North African merguez is succulent and decidedly lamb-y.
Great neighborhood bistro. The cocktails are strong, the food is good, very rich, and reasonably priced . The service is generally friendly and competent. Only criticism is that the menu could use to be changed more often to reflect the seasons and take advantage of what's fresh and local. The cassoulet is fantastic, but it has no business being a special in the summer. The menu hasn't changed much at all in the past three years. It's been great fall/winter food - but needs to lighten up for spring and summer. Hoping to see some changes next time we're in.

The unfussy but hearty bistro-style food is what sets this place apart, and there's no better Soupe a L'Oignon anywhere in Seattle. However the execution is variable -- the hangar steak can be perfectly cooked one time, but come out on a nuclear-hot plate and overdone the next. Great for a casual meal with friends, but can fail to impress when it counts.
