  • The War Room's dance floor is a good place to catch some of the city's best DJs, and the small rooftop deck is splendid on mild evenings. No food served here, but you'll usually find a hot dog cart nearby on weekend nights. Cover charge most nights after 9 pm.
  • Hours: 4 pm-2 am daily.
  • Happy Hour: Mon-Fri 5-9 pm when deck is open ($3 wells, rotating daily specials).

Best sounding dance hall in the city. The DJs on Thursdays spin grooves so full that you can't help yourself. *****Give in.

B-boys hold it down!

Every club review I've ever read reads like an anti-bouncer rant. The only time I saw a bouncer get out of line, I also saw him get put back in place by one of the DJs, and that was 'cause the bouncer was telling the b-boys to stop dancing. This place has a great mix of people, with Circle of Fire and local b-boys holdin' it down on Mondays, and maybe a bit on Saturdays. It gets crowded, and the bouncers have to keep the stairs open for fire code, the same as everywhere else.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! The bouncers and security are ridiculous! I had a flashlight in my face more than 12 times throughout the night. I had only one or two drinks so it had nothing to do with my behavior, they were doing it to everyone at the place! At some points, I was just sitting on a couch talking with a girlfriend and I'd get a flashlight shining in my face coming from across the room. They obviously are now going overboard since they've had so much violence there recently. I would never spend a cover to get harassed like that again! Go to Baltic Room or Ballroom to dance, skip this place!

Peace

Mostly only been here for Hot Mess (aka Gay Night) but someone needs to tell security that it isn't the International Terminal at SeaTac and I'm not packing a bomb. Seriously, save that police state b.s. for the rest of the month. Once you get past the strip search, or if you're smart, just go at non-busy or non-event times, War Room (i.e. the old Blu) has the best patio/deck bar in Seattle. Don't let a sunny summer day pass without a drink up there.

Perfect......

for those hot days when you're dyin' for some outdoor drinkin'. If you go early enough it's a nice chill mish mash of 9-5'ers & local neighborhood peeps. And on Sundays they've got Slow Ride.....sweet sounds of the 70s. I love summer!
