The great thing about Catholics is how much they love men who rape children.

The ads are all over the place here in Chicago. Didn't realize until just now that it was Dan's show. Kid in the ads needs a bigger 'fro.

I hope that Dan will join the producers of "The Real O'Neal's" will join me (and the rest of the future fans of the new show) in thanking BillDo for the excellent reminder & free advertising. I've been looking forward to this since we first heard about it here on the SLOG but might not have remembered that it is premiering this month, were it not for this friendly reminder.
5
Oh and I'm pretty sure raping kids > potty mouth on the scale of sins but I'm not Catholic so what do I know.
6
I thought the show premiered months ago.

If you need any more proof on what a "blockhead" Bill Donahue is, listen to this clip with Louis CK on Opie and Anthony where Bill Donahue calls in.

It's hilarious!

@7, not so much hilarious as disheartening (although Louis CK was funny). It's chilling how lacking in moral instincts Donohue is.

And thanks for the email found in the large ad, Bill. I sent a nice little note to ABC telling the producers to ignore the Catholic League's rants concerning this show. I look forward to the show's premier; it looks awesome.

"Cardinal George!" Heh.
10
Yup, no such thing as bad publicity! See also: The Streisand Effect.
11
Ugh, who is this person? He sounds insane!
12
And what is the Catholic League? Surely these people can't be mainstream! The Catholic church might be wayyy too conservative, but they're not moronic enough to think anyone can get diseases from touching a doorknob that has saliva on it.
13
Does he require a separate room to store all his butthurt in?
14
And what is this Catholic League? They can't be a mainstream group. The drivel this dude was spouting doesn't even make sense. It takes a special kind of stupid to believe anyone would try to pass on diseases by licking doorknobs! What a tool this Bill Whatzit is. Ah well, on the upside his stupidity is helping print media, so YAY. Those full page ads ain't cheap.
15
Ugh, sorry about double posts. My first post didn't appear for several minutes, so I rewrote it. Anyone else got time lag problem?
16
Only someone raised in religion can truly hate it, and see how insidious it can be. Or simply: familiarity breeds contempt.
17
A subtle change from the original ad to the new ad really deflates the message. Changing "Irish-Catholic" to "Irish-American" causes the entire ad to lose meaning. Nice.
19
Nothing helps sales like being banned in Boston.

Bill Donahue is a loon and attention whore who has been around forever, and the "Catholic League" consists largely of him and a computer (although he must have someone bankrolling him to be able to take out ads like this. I'd be curious to know who that is)

Just another merchant of outrage, using defense of the Catholic Church as his vehicle, which makes him even more preposterous.

21
Seems like licking doorknobs is not as bad as raping children, and ensuring a child rape ring pretending to be a religion keeps operating unhindered.

But I am not a Catholic spiritual leader like Donahue, so maybe I just don't understand the whole "raping children" thing that seems so important to them.
22
Donahue is no "Spiritual Leader". He's not ordained or even officially affiliated with the Catholic Church. Think of the league as a barnacle on the hull of the slowly sinking boat that is the Catholic church.
23
Doesn't seem like the Catholics have much moral high ground to stand on. Any group that condones child rape should be very wary about casting stones.
24
Well, if they (newsy whorescum) claim that Donald Trump should be disavowed for repeating a Mussolini quote, than certainly the Catholic Church, whose Vatican City was granted sovereignty by Mussolini, should be disavowed!
25
My favorite thing about Bill Donahue: he is divorced. Oh the irony..
26
Meanwhile, the Vatican's newspaper had good things to say about Spotlight. http://www.cnn.com/2016/03/01/entertainm…

Something tells me that Larry Flynt would not "blush" at anything that Dan has to say about Jesus and Mary.

Please wait...
