Lost Time is the opposite of a sophomore slump. Hardly Art Records

Fresh off a set at Safeco Field opening for up-and-coming spoken-word artist Bernie Sanders, Seattle pop-punk quartet Tacocat will be playing two shows at Chop Suey Thursday March 31 to celebrate the release of their sophomore LP, Lost Time (out April 1 on Hardly Art). Produced by Erik Blood, it's a polished collection of instantly memorable songs that fuse effusive girl-group harmonies with the spunky, incisive guitar attack of Scottish C86 superstars Shop Assistants, and features singer Emily Nokes's wry, trenchant, and feminist lyrics. (Nokes is a former Stranger music editor.) It includes a mordantly ebullient song called "I Love Seattle" that our chamber of commerce should consider using in all of its promo literature.

We're giving away two pairs of tickets to this Tacocat doubleheader to the first two people to answer this trivia question correctly. In which other band does Tacocat bassist Bree McKenna play? Please send your answers to music@thestranger.com. Good luck! [NOTE: These tickets are for the early all-ages show. By the way, advance ticket-holders are invited to Tacocat's ice cream social, which happens at 5 pm and allows fans to get their photos taken with Tacocat. Chop Suey will be serving free scoops of Bluebird Ice Cream's special "Choco Tacocat" flavor.]

UPDATE: We have our two winners. Thanks to all for playing.

(You can stream Lost Time at Noisey.)
