Tomorrows going to be hot. Go play.
Thursday's going to be hot. Go play. Kelly O

Yesterday was the hottest day recorded in April in Seattle, and today's weather is expected to reach 84. This means three days in a row of 80+ weather, a record for the region. Like we do when it gets warm and people start complaining about it, The Stranger dug through its calendar listings and into its archives to find the best ways to enjoy the sunshine:

• Drink up some sun at a bar with outdoor seating. Alternatively, cool off with a beer or five at Stout's rooftop party. Not into views of Cal Anderson Park? How about a beer-tasting cruise on the lake instead?

• Spread out a picnic blanket and enjoy an ice cream sandwich at your favorite park. (Chill, vegans, we got you covered.)

• Maybe you’re the kind of Seattleite who wants—as the great St. Lunatic, Nelly, so famously instructed—to take off all your clothes. In that case: Go swimming. (But don't just jump into any ol' waterhole.) We recommend you try one of Seattle’s 149 “secret” beaches and underused public spaces. The neighboring residential bourgeoisie will hate you for it. And a reminder: skinny-dipping isn’t just for the thin and the beautiful—it’s for all of us. (Although some might feel otherwise. Note: the waters will be cold at this time of year. Swimmer's discretion is advised.)

• Itching for some other way to exercise? Now's your chance to hike Washington state's national parks for free.

• Later this week, there's the Seattle Cherry Blossom Festival at the Seattle Center. We also have an Earth Day calendar for a week's worth of earth-friendly activities and events.

• And lastly, tomorrow is 4/20—Seattle's favorite holiday. Celebrate "highs" in the weather by participating in this 4/20 scavenger hunt. Or spend it in the air-conditioned Egyptian, watching David Schmader talk about his new book. 🍁

Or you could just smoke weed in bed and play video games. Whatever you do, just be sure to keep the windows open.
