It's National Poetry Month, because April is, as T.S. Eliot said, full of people breaking up with each other and new spiders. To help get your mind off all that nastiness, there are plenty of events happening even in this last week of April, and we've compiled them all on our National Poetry Month calendar. Tonight, for example, indie powerhouse Aimee Mann and former U.S. Poet Laureate Billy Collins will be performing in Tacoma, and there's a free Sound and Poetry event in Pioneer Square. Next week, there's a celebration featuring MacArthur Geniuses Lucia Perillo and Heather McHugh and Washington state's poet laureate Tod Marshall. It's also free, so you shouldn't miss it.
