City Considers Charges Against Homeless Shelter Provider: The nonprofit SHARE operates emergency shelters and tent encampments and is currently in a funding fight with the city and county. Now, the Seattle Times reports that the city attorney's office is considering whether to charge SHARE over its apparent use of an unlicensed accountant. The accountant's lapsed license was first reported by The Blog Quixotic. SHARE says it has stopped working with the accountant.

State Department Watchdog Criticizes Clinton's Private Email Server: The State Department inspector general's new report "found that a top Clinton aide was warned in 2010 that the system may not properly preserve records but dismissed those worries, indicating that the system passed legal muster," reports the Washington Post. "But the inspector general said it could not show evidence of a review by legal counsel." The report also criticized former secretary of state Colin Powell, who has admitted to using a personal email account for business. Another investigation by the FBI into Clinton's handling of classified material is still underway.

Gun Allegedly Carried by Che Taylor Traced to Former Sheriff’s Deputy: Steve Miletich reports that the gun police say Taylor was carrying when he was shot and killed by two officers in February "appears to have been originally purchased by a former King County sheriff’s deputy in 2013 at an Issaquah gun store, according to Seattle police records and law-enforcement officials." The deputy, Daniel J. Murphy, was fired last year for an unrelated reason and disputes the claim. King County Sheriff John Urquhart says he has opened an internal investigation.

Trump and Clinton Win Washington: ICYMI, Republicans in yesterday's Washington primary voted overwhelmingly for Donald Trump. On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton won 54 percent of the vote, a shift from the 73 percent of Washington caucus-goers Bernie Sanders won in March. Republican Pollster Says Governor Jay Inslee Is Vulnerable: A poll of 500 voters found Democratic Governor Jay Inslee leading Republican ding dong Bill Bryant 43 to 36 percent. When asked whether "after 32 years of one party controlling the Governor's Office, a change in leadership and electing a new governor from another political party would be healthy for Washington state," 58 percent said "yes," reports Joel Connelly.
