Yesterday, I wrote about House Republicans blocking an amendment that would have protected banks that work with cannabusinesses, helping get cash off the premises and reduce the incentive for armed robberies, which are rampant at pot shops.

I described the shooting death of Travis Mason, a former marine and father of twins who was guarding a pot shop in Aurora, Colorado when the store was robbed. Rep. Denny Heck (D-WA), in his press release on the blockage, concluded, "Our worst fears were realized last weekend with the tragic murder of a father and Marine during an armed robbery in Colorado. [...] We need to get serious about this and make these changes now."

And I concluded that, "we need to do it before anyone else gets shot." Well, guess what? A mere six hours later, a security guard at a medical marijuana dispensary in San Bernardino got shot in the face. The guard is now in "extremely critical condition." Fuck everything.
