Local politics—specifically a local ballot initiative trying to take away trans people's right to use a gender-segregated bathroom—can be very unfunny. But Finn Cottom, a local comic I had never heard of before they e-mailed us, is very fucking funny indeed.

Watch Cottom describe the mental calculations trans people already have to make in order to reduce the likelihood of being gawked at—or worse, assaulted—while trying to quickly get in and out of a stall. Cottom's ideal entrance, of course, would be climbing into an air vent and then discreetly rappelling (silent as "an owl's wing against the night") into a stall. Video after the jump.
