In the time Ansel has been covering Ron Smith, the now-former Seattle Police Officers Guild president has gone from saying that if officers don't like Seattle's progressive politics, they should leave to claiming President Obama is fueling a "war on cops." Smith resigned this week after posting on Facebook last week that "the hatred of law enforcement by a minority movement is disgusting." Then, he blamed The Stranger.
