Jesus Christ, Larry Weis Again? Seattle City Light's new CEO—who is the highest paid employee on the city payroll—faced backlash when he was appointed because of his iffy environmental record. Now, the Seattle Times' Mike Baker reports that when Mayor Ed Murray appointed Weis, Weis was still under investigation at his last job for "an allegation that he presided over a culture of harassment, retaliation and discrimination against women." Weis was cleared of any wrongdoing two days after Murray named him for the job, but did not disclose the investigation publicly.

The City Paid a Firm to Avoid This Type of Thing: The Times reports that the city paid a firm almost $50,000 to vet the candidates for the job and that firm knew about the investigation but didn't relay it to the city.
